Day 1
Good Governance Week inaugrated in Kupwara
Special teams monitored attendance of employees in government offices
KUPWARA, DECEMBER 20: District Administration Kupwara today held a series of activities across various offices of the district to mark the launch of Good Governance Week (GGW) in the district.
Accordingly, various inspection teams constituted by Deputy Commissioner Kupwara held surprise inspection of various Government offices in the district including District Mineral Office Kupwara, Sericulture Department, Employment, District Fund Office, Pollution Control Board and I&FC and checked attendance of government functionaries.
During the inspections, the employees were asked to show utmost punctuality and dedication towards performing their duties and were impressed to ensure timely redressal of public issues and grievances. The employees were also given awareness regarding the concept of observance of ‘Good Governance Week’.
Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din also participated in the launching ceremony of ‘Good Governance Week’ through virtual mode and later held a grievance redressal camp in his office chamber, where he heard 200 applicants and issued on spot directions to the concerned officers for immediate redressal of their grievances.
On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner informed that total 3066 applications have been received by 48 offices of district administration out of which 2939 have been disposed of. Whileas, only 127 are under process in different offices.

Day 3
Deputy commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din chaired Block Divas event at block Villgam during day 3 of good governance. Officers from administration, PRIs and people participated in the programme.
Day 4
*DC Kupwara holds public hearing camp at Kupwara*
KUPWARA, DECEMBER 23: As part of Good Governance Week, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Imam Din today convened a public hearing camp, here to redress the grievances on spot.
The Assistant Commissioner Revenue, District Information Officer, Assistant Director planning and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.
As many as 80 applicants, from different areas of the district including Kandi, Shartwari, Nagri, Karihama and Nutnoosa registered their grievances before the Deputy Commissioner.
The Deputy Commissioner heard all the applicants patiently and gave on spot directions to the concerned officers to immediately resolve the grievances of the people on war foot basis. He also sanctioned cash relief of Rs.10000 to various poor and needy applicants.
Deputy Commissioner, on the occasion exhorted upon the people to take interest in skill development initiatives and establish self employment unit to earn their livelihood. He also stressed upon them to not to rely on little relief items.
The Deputy Commissioner directed ACD Kupwara to look into cases of PMAY. He also directed all officers to look into all cases on prioty which were forwarded during public hearing camps on the celebration of Good Governance Week.
