Shri. Manoj Sinha

Lieutenant Governor, J&K

MESSAGE

It gives me immense pleasure to learn that District Administrations across Jammu&Kashmir are bringing out e-Book titled “District Capex Projects- A Pictorial Journey of the District”, showcasing the completed projects of public importance in their respective districts.

The District component is a vital driver of the overall developmental framework of the UT of J&K, more so with the three tier Panchayati Raj System now in place, representing the aspirations and participation of common man in policy planning and execution.

It is a matter of great satisfaction that despite various challenges,a record number of 51,891 projects have been completed during the FY 2021-22, far too higher than the projects completed in previous years. I compliment the district teams & PRIs for their proactive role in achieving these milestones, taking their districts forward on the growth trajectory.

The e-Book is an attempt to enhance transparency and accountability in order to improve the quality of output, besides an opportunity for the District Administrations to reflect upon the past work and strategize for the future with greater efficiency and commitment.

I hope the momentum of development in the UT will persist with renewed zeal in the coming years, and we will set benchmarks in the overall Project Implementation Framework for the other States and UTs to follow.
