Jan Shikshan Sansthan Ministry of Skill Development GOI

Brief Introduction:
Jan Shikshan Sansthan had its genesis formerly known as Shramik Vidyapeeth, established in 1967 under Ministry of Education And Culture, GOI.
On 15-07-2015, the scheme on occasion of “World Youth Skills” day was put under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.
The scheme is operated all over India across 308 districts for impartation of vocational training.

Brief Introduction About JSS Kupwara.
JSS Kupwara started its operations in 2008, and is the only institute in the Kashmir Division under the scheme in Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
Every year the institutes trains/certifies 1800 beneficiaries under the scheme and about 1000 under convergence mode.
The institute has three sub Tangdar, Machil and Keran.
The institute is primarily focused on development and upgradation of Minority Communities through skill enhancement and upgradation.
